Why won't any mfi certified charging cable work on my iPhone 6

I have purchased over the last year several lightning charger leads from a well known shopping site and have always made sure they are Mfi certified to protect my iPhone 5s... Now I have my lovely new iPhone 6, they no longer work.. I have tried the expensive ones and the cheaper Amaxon Basics range (all mfi c'd) but still get thst sand not compatible massage.. Is it true that Apple have indeed banned even Mfi accessories from working on their devices??

Hi all and thank you for your input regarding this issue! This is an update to a problem that has now been resolved and one that may be of interest to anyone with same ploblem!!

i Took my phone once again to a geneus bar on Thursday and they did a diagnostic on battery which didn't give any errors, I did say this may have been a false reading due to the fact I'd been using a power bank during that day. He insisted that it may have been a software issue even though other genius reps said this wouldn't be the case! Also I'd done a full reset and set up as new to no avail! Anyway, eventually he agreed to exchange handset. 24 hrs later my battery has still got 56% remaining AND all charger leads now work fine with no error messages!! Make your own judgements to what the problem was but my judgement is maybe genius isn't quite all its cracked up to be. I would however say that the service was extremely good in that at no point was I accused as being wrong. He just had May the wrong info supplied by apple. Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem as was driving me mad having to charge my phone by lunchtime And not being able to use my 3rd party mfi chargers.

I Was having problems with monoprice certified cable that worked fine with the iPhone 5 model. i had 2 identical cables attached to 2 different power sources, just one was giving me problems, so a few days ago I changed the old aftermarket power brick to an apple brick & the cable started working fine, the other cable that never gave me problems was plugged into a GE brand power brick that directly plugs into th power socket in the wall & has integrated 2.1 A usb outlets, maybe try my solution & hope it solves a few people's problems

This may be of help to others who decide to purchase an MFI certified cable for their latest iOS device.

I ordered a MFI lighting cable from a respected supplier.

I did some charging tests with it and an original Apple lightning cable that was supplied with my iPad Pro.

The charger used was the original Apple iPad Pro charger.

The MFI cable charged the iPad Pro at half the rate of the original cable!

Upon contacting the supplier he informed me that to qualify for MFI certification only the actual Lightning connecter was required to have Apple approval.

He then further informed me that the actual copper cable threads in the cable could well be thinner in an MFI certified cable and that could well restrict the current ampre flow causing the lower charge rate.

So there! Thats your answer.

Only part of a connection cable needs to be MFI approved for the whole cable to falsely be labelled that way.

Ripped off yet again Apple.

Weird! I'd like to agree for my benefit but how would that stop my cables on an iOS 8 device but fine on iOS 6 device? this chap was convinced the program had ended. Bonkers!! As I said, I have around 10 cables and all the same issue.. I've reset my phone to factory settings and not restored from backup and still same message. Thanks for replying.. im pretty tech savvy myself but this has got me stumped.. Reckon a trip to the Genius Bar is needed.
