I need to know from Apple my SIM status....

It's the Apple database that is holding me up, and having to run back through a restore multiple times a day just to check if that data was received from my carrier to Apple is unecessary and VERY frustrating. We could use a method of determining from Apple.

  • The carrier is where the unlock was requested...
  • The carrier replied with "two days to make a decision"...
  • That decision was reached after 2 days and confirmed, saying the information was sent to Apple over 24 hours ago...
  • Yet Apple is still not allowing the unlock yet

(yes it is controlled by iTunes sync, by Apple's database)...

If you know of a SIM status link that is free using a serial/imei, please share...

Apple responds to these posts, especially when there is a good discussion on it, or maybe you haven't seen those yet, in any case...

Again Carrier says its been completed, and the carrier, AT&T, tech support says Apple's database is not updated yet, is the only explanation, in addition Apple phone Support says typical SLA once we get the request from the carrier is 1-3 days.... very vague

If your carrier has sent the request to apple, then provides you with a confirmation, and then you walk into T-mobile and slap in a new SIM card, and Apple hasnt processed that 1-3 days yet, your screwed without service

stick back in the AT&T SIM and run restore from inside itunes and itunes finds out from Apple's database that the device is ok to proceed as unlocked and does it for you. Or you can pay $50 per device for an online company to speed up the process, but we have 5 iphones on our plan... not cheap, best to validate FIRST

So again hopeing someone on here, somewhere has additional way to find out current SIM status like a status link like this one http :// iphoneimei. info but one that is free and actually queries Apple's database directly for current database activation status... I need all my phones validated unlocked before I walk into my next carrier and sign up without fear that we wont be without phones for the next 2-3 days.
