Itunes 12 does not have the "Manually manage music" option

I have itunes 12 and the "manually manage music and videos" is not there. "Manually manage videos" is the only option. I use itunes for work and I NEED a fix. I am unable to drag and drop as well.

I've just done these suggested solutions (which worked) on my iPad Air and I'll bet this "problem" is a silent strategy by Apple to make it difficult to use your own physical music files library (ripped from your CDs, Amazon downloads, etc.) and to encourage exclusive use of AppleMusic. Am I being paranoid? As an added bonus to having checked the "Manually manage music and videos" function, it also made my whole iBooks library disappear from the iPad. I have quite a few books in iBooks and it's a total tactical nightmare having to resync them all.

I have tried to figured out this problem since I have 3G IPhone 2009, and its still complicated procedure. I have to back up all music file even I want to add 1 (one) music files. And the Itunes will be sync all the music files (at least 2000 songs) all over again, painful but it is.

And now I have stop using Iphone or Ipod since 2009. I thought Apple's programmers had problem to do such easy task and they don't listen very well.

Thanks

This is the best way I can explain this. Your "iTunes Music" in your iPhone will delete, BUT if all your music is saved in your iTunes on your computer it will sync back into your iPhone. If you have music from other peoples' iTunes in your "iTunes Music" on your iPhone it will delete and you will not be able to get it back. So, only music in your personal iTunes library will sync back to your iPhone after deletion.

I'm not sure what people mean when they say the "summary tab".

I'm not sure what people mean when the say "iCloud Library". I go to iCloud Drive on my phone and turn it on, but the word "library" doesn't appear.

The Genius did not appear above Music when I turned on cellular data.

So I still can't find the "sync" button, manually or automatically. I can't uncheck a song. I can't delete a song using the delete button. I'm stuck.

I finally found the sync button! I right clicked beneath the word Devices in the Playlists view and it came up.

maybe doing something in all those suggestions worked.

holy crap, just when i thought nothing anyone said on these forums would work this did. You're a saint, i might even go as far as saying I'm falling in love with you. You cannot imagine how frustrating it was not being able to sync new music to my phone and the steps everyone else had been talking about doing absolutely nothing to help my problem.
thank you so much
