Trouble with wireless kit with intuos Pen & Touch and iMac with Yosemite

I got an Intuos Pen & Touch for Christmas along with a wireless kit that plugs into my iMac. I'm running Yosemite on my iMac. As far as I can see, the tablet works absolutely fine when connected to the computer with the USB cable provided, but when I try and use the wireless kit with a full battery it just isn't picking anything up.

I press the power button and it flashes a few times then goes off. Also, it tell me no tablets were found when I click on this little icon in the menu bar it says no tablets were found. (This is all with just the wireless kit connected). If I go to the Wacom Tablet plug in in System preferences I get this:

I can't work out if it's something wrong with my tablet/wireless kit or the driver or my mac itself. Bear in mind I am running the latest driver for the tablet from Wacom. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello;

I had the same trouble with wireless kit with intuos 5 Pen & touch and with bamboo on Macbook Air 2015 but not on older MacbookPro . The problem is not the tablet or the kit but the USB dongle with USB port that is too short.

in fact the solution is simple, you need to use an extention cord USB and the trouble desappears.

Hey, thanks! I realize this thread is old, but your answer helped solve my issue. I had the dongle plugged into the back of my iMac, but couldn't seem to get it to connect. Slid the dongle into the open port on my keyboard and BAM! Problem solved. With the Apple keyboard w/10 key, the dongle can't even be seen unless you pick the keyboard up and it is conveniently right next to my tablet. Perfect! Thanks for the help!

Thank you! This was exactly my problem. Wasn't a distance issue; my tablet was less than an inch from the dongle. Totally a fit issue. 🙂
