Samsung blocking texts

I habe a group text set up between three people, four including myself. I have an iPhone and two of the other three phones are also iPhones. The third phone is a Samsung. When I send a text, it will go to one of the iPhone's (the same person each time) and to the Samsung user. None of the messages show up on the second iphone. What is it with the Samsung that is blocking the message from getting to the second iphone. Any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

What colour are the sent messages in the app?

Blue messages are using iMessage which is unavailable to any device that isn't made by Apple, these are sent over the internet & do not cost you anything (other than any cellular data charges).

Green messages are SMS, which is the standard that is supported by all mobile telephones. These are normally charges at a fixed rate per message.

To force the messages to be SMS make sure you turn off mobile data & wifi, otherwise the messages may be sent as iMessages, which excludes the devices that are not using iMessage.

It's possible that the Samsung phone number used to have an iMessage account associated with it, in this case telt the owner to opt-out of iMessage, otherwise any iMessages sent to them disappear into a black hole, never to be seen again…
