MacBook Air 13" MASSIVE screen problem.

It's under warranty - take it in.
Take it in! My macbook Pro looked like that when the first two logic boards failed. Make them replace it just in case.
Thankyou for the advice. I'll go into the store and speak to them about it. Does anyone have any idea what I can expect from the clerks at Applestore?
From what I've read here it varies. I've had good experiences BUT they often plead ignorance on logic board issues. Apple will not acknowledge the problem. If that isn't your situation then I would think it would be a positive experience. Please repost what happens.
Hello lemon balls and welcome to Apple Support Communities,
This is a defect in the display itself. Specifically the adhesion of the vertical driver array that's usually at the top of the display. That's why a screenshot won't capture it. It's capturing the output of the graphics chip.
They will need to replace the whole display and will since it's still under warranty. Hate to see this because it's a manufacturing defect and replacement doesn't mean the issue won't return.
Therefore I would also buy AppleCare for your machine if you intend to keep it for longer than the original 1 year warranty period. You're still within the original warranty period so it can still be purchased.
