How can I simulate "Home/End" buttons on my wireless keyboard?
Is there a way to use the "F keys" to do this?
The left and right arrows of the viewer work fine, only if the video is made into a compound clip.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago with my non-Apple Bluetooth keyboard, which doesn't work the way Ben explained.
If yours is not an Apple one and you can't get it to work using the fn key, read this thread (especially Luis' suggestions) about how I managed it.
Are these keyboard shortcuts already in use in FCP X: Cmd + Up Arrow and Cmd + Down Arrow ?
Actually, for a non-Apple keyboard, you can simply create a custom shortcut inside of FCPX. Go to the Final Cut Pro X menu, to Commands, to Customize. Simple as that.
That's what I did.
BenB,
You're suggestion works very well, but now I have to use the fn key plus F11 or F12 to adjust the volume.
Can't get it back to a single key selection of Volume!
Also be aware of the Fn key setting in System Settings, Keyboard. You can set F keys to work as the F keys, or as the icons Apple puts on them. Be aware of that setting.
