We want to use an iPad (iOS 8) with Keynote for a kiosk. We have an intro slide that you tap to begin the presentation, then when the presentation ends it loops back to the intro screen waiting to be tapped again. However, we do not want users to be able to exit the presentation by pinching the screen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Tried that too, but no good. The problem with it is that I'd have to draw a circle around the entire screen, which leaves a big gray overlay, plus it would disable the ability to tap the screen to start the presentation. The iPad with Keynote would be a great choice for a kiosk display, so I don't get why Apple didn't build in the option to prevent exiting/pinch. You don't want viewers exiting out of the presentation and/or messing around with the images on the slides.
Sorry - momentary lapse of reason. you want to set up Guided Access: Settings App > General > Accessibility > Guided Access.

you also may want to take a look at settings under General > Accessibility > Assistive touch.
Thanks for your reply. I tried both, but neither of these suggestions seems to disable the pinch function in Keynote.
Have you been able to find a solution to this problem? I work for a museum and disabling the gesture would make life grand. I've researched it and contacted Apple to no avail.
How do you disable pinch mode?
