An advertisement from Reimage.com keeps popping up on Safari. Can I prevent it?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
Adware is installed. Removing it will help,
1. Download and use free AdwareMedic to remove the adware
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done, quit AdwareMedic.
or
Remove the adware manually by following the “HowTo” from Apple.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
Turn those on one by one and test.

I have scanned for Adware as you suggested and removed all. The problem persists! Below is a screen shot.

Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.
Turn off Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi off”.
Visit another website.
You won’t have internet connection.
Turn on Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi on”.
Select your Network.

I noticed that my Safari Home page had the Trovi logo. Safari Preferences showed the homepage as Trovi, so I changed this to Google.co.uk. This has solved the problem! - I hope!
