beats pill not charging anymore

I got a beats pill 2.0 for christmas and its been good so far, but now the LED light that shows if its charging stays red and doesn't turn green. (Note: it did turn green in the first week of having it.) Ive had it plugged in with the cord it came with for days and every time i unplug it, it just dies on me and won't turn on. i've reset it twice and cannot update it because it needs to have over 20% battery charge, which it's not getting. Please help me, this is soo annoying

bmiraflo, last night after getting totally annoyed and frustrated, I began searching the web for any information regarding my (our) issues. I stumbled upon a youtube video that said "In this video I'm going to show you how to charge your beats pill if it's having issues." It was posted on July 25, 2014. I followed the directions in the video and now my Pill seems to be working fine. It's only been 8 hours or so, but I can turn it on, play music, turn it off and a few minutes later do the same thing without any problems. Seems like a silly fix, but if it works, so be it. I still can't connect to the Beats Updater, but as long as the Pill is working I'm Happy. Not totally satisfied, but Happy. Here's a link to the video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldENC8xekWs Let me know if this works for you....

@Nub1975, when you charge it over night does the light indicator ever turn green? or does it just stay red? My older version of beats pill 2.0 used to turn green once it was fully charged and it worked perfectly. But I recently updated it to the newest firmware version from the beatspill website and now when I charge it overnight, the charge light indicator stays red. When I unplug it, and turn on the beats pill, it only lasts like 1 or 2 hours.

I troubleshooted and thought it might be the micro-usb cable or AC adapter. So I used a different one and got the same results.

I recently ordered another Beats Pill 2.0 unit from WalMart.com and got it in the mail yesterday. Without even updating the beats pill to the latest firmware, I'm having the same problems. Plugged it in overnight and the charge indicator light never turns green. Playing the beats pill for a few minutes and it turns off by itself. I'm going to return it tomorrow because it's essentially useless if it's not plugged in.

APPLE. WAKE UP. YOU RECALLED THE BEATS PILL-XL. IT'S TIME TO RECALL THE BEATS PILL 2.0 FOR FAULTY MANUFACTURING.

I don't know why they haven't addressed this problem because if you read amazon.com reviews or many other youtube videos or blogs, so many people are having the same problem. The worst part is that no one can get help because they're "out of warranty" since some bought the pill 2.0 months before.

I never had problems with beats products prior to apple buying out the company. Not sure if they made some deal with their manufacturers and stopped with high volume Quality Assurance/Testing of their products before shipping them out. Seems like every beats pill 2.0 out there is a dud.

I'm having the same exact problem. Just bought it in early August. If I charge it overnight it turns on and works OK. As soon as I let it sit for a few hours it's dead and won't start. Charging light doesn't turn red, green or any other color. Tried to apply maintenance to it using Beats Updater but my Laptop can't find it because it's not turned on. Very frustrating. I'm ready to throw it in the garbage........

I have the same issue. After never successfully charging the product for the first time I received a replacement which worked for a while and now is no longer charging again. I have used this beats pill maybe 10 - 15 times since I have had it. I have table top Bose and B&W speakers so I only use this when travelling. Anyways must be a very sensitive product for this to happen so frequently. I take excellent care of my stuff. Hopefully Apple will still honour support / replacement.

I Got mine a few months ago and it won't charge at all tried everythin. The updater says mine is charged 127% which is impossibl. Don't no why I have it. It pops when I turn it up and then it shuts it's self off. This is the worst product I have ever had. I don't understand why there so popular there junk! I gotten 10$ buletpith speakers and they have never had an issue at all!

Me also, my husband bought my beets pill for me for mothers day. By July the red Light just stayed on and will not work unless plugged in. I believe it should last a bit longer for what they cost. I bought a very inexpensive no name similar speaker from Lowes on sale for $20 and it still is going strong.

How can we get the beets pill to work???

Thanks
