I'm wondering if I can fix TextEdit's window size and its location upon opening a file?
I prefer opening my TextEdit at certain size (LxW) and would like it to stay align either on right or left of the screen edge.
Can I do that? Please help.

I don't know that you can do that. I've not found a way for newly created documents.
Note if you disable System Preferences->General->Close windows when quitting an app, then upon restart of TextEdit, all windows will be exactly where you left them.
For a rich text file, typically TextEdit will open it at the size it was when last saved. For a plain text file, TextEdit will open it at the dimensions you have set in TextEdit's preferences for width and height for new files.
