Can't move table column in Pages 5.5.2 contrary to previous experience and the online help directions to select the column address bar until it lifts and drawing to a new location.

Thanks for the confirmation.
On further investigation, I've found that moving columns only works when the table resides on one page.
If the table spans multiple pages, the columns can't be moved by dragging and the only method that works is inserting a column(s), cut and past.
I believe this is a bug.

I tested this in Pages 5.5.2
You are correct. It works with a table residing on one page. It does not work with a table that spans multiple pages.

It works here. I has always worked, and it has always been finicky. Other than how you hold your mouth and crossing your toes, i find that this works:
Click in the table to "activate" it.
Click on the Column Label of the column you want to move, to Select it.
Pause (take a breath)
Click and Hold and Wait for the column of the table to rise.
Drag to where you want the Column to be.
Release.

NB: this also doesn't work if there are merged cells in the table interfering with the selection of a single row or column. A simple unmerge and remerge fixes it.
