have to "manage" dictionaries every app launch
I'm using iOS 8. My default dictionaries are American English and Apple Dictionary - apple has set these, I can't change them. They are always working in every app.
I use the Japanese Dictionary and Japanese-English Dictionary daily. No matter what I try these latter two dictionaries can't be permanently enabled, either system wide, nor app by app.
If i'm using an app and trying to look up a definition I have to go to manage, turn on the dictionary (thankfully i don't have to download it), then go back one screen (screen still says no definition) so you have to go back another screen, then highlight the word (again) then click define and then the definition in another language emerges.
but then if i switch to another app, i have to repeat the process. the dictionary doesn't stay enabled across apps.
and if an app is ever closed, it defaults to American English and Apple Dictionary and you have to start the whole process all over again. dictionary management doesn't work.
What is the point of having these extra dictionaries, if you have to fumble through all these steps over and over several times a day?
How can I define, system wide what dictionaries I use? I don't need an english dictionary, I don't need apple dictionary, I need these two auxiliary dictionaries turned on at all times and I don't want to have to "manage" them.
Any ideas? (short of switching phone to japanese language, though that probably won't work either, because japanese-english will probably not be turned on by default!)
