Hi, I've got it working on Sierra!
There are two revisions of the Asus USB-N13 wireless adapter, mine is the B1 ( you can check it in the rear of the adapter (listed as HW Version) ). By looking at https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_USB-N13_rev_B1 you can determine the chip inside the adapter, Realtek RTL8192CU.
Unfortunately the Realtek site haven't the RTL8192CU drivers for Sierra, but fortunately the MAC OS X 10.8 drivers are working on Sierra!
Download from: http://152.104.125.41/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Leve l=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Do… (RTL8192CU > Others > MAC OSX 10.8 Install Package)
Hello, what OSX version are you on?
After installing & rebooting, did you try System Preferences>Network to see if you get New Port Detected?
I see nothing in Network panel in regards to The ASUS. And the ASUS Wireless Network Utility doesn't see it either. Can the adapter just be bad?
Oh and I'm running 10.7.5 on a Power Mac 2.66
No you are not.
A Power Mac is not able to run 10.7.
Please provide the correct model of Mac you have.
sorry mac pro 2.66

It's possible, but you may want to check that it appearing as a USB device before returning it.
Apple Menu > About this Mac > 'More info button' should show a 'system report'. Use that to see if the USB device is detected in the USB section. Refresh the view (cmd+R) if you remove & reconnect the dongle - it makes it easier to find.
Have you tried Asus's FAQ & support site?
http://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/110695/ (seems like their images are broken).
You probably need to use their own software & not System Preferences to configure this device.
It shows up in the system report as a wireless adapter. Just not anywhere. I spent an hour with asus support and we couldn't get it to work
P.S.
The download appears to have a 10.7 version of the 'driver & utility', have you tried that or are you using a version that shipped with the device?

Are the installers actually completing?
The only thing the support guy was concerned with removing the old driver when we tried to reinstall.
used the Driver from disc and then tried the drivers from website. no go
I used the Driver from included disk and then tried the drivers from website. no go
You are not giving us any info on what is actually happening, it makes it tough to guess all the questions that could lead to a solution…
Rebooting & trying other USB ports are the first things to try.
Some things that could help to know…
Do the Asus apps run at all?
Do they appear to make any difference to the device?
Does the LED ever flash or illuminate?
Does the app appear to control the dongle in any way, when it is disconnected is it apparent in the software? e.g. Does the UI 'grey out' when it isn't connected - that indicates some communication at least.
There may be log messages that appear as the device is connected or when it is controlled by the software. /Applications/Utilities/Console.app will show the messages, however they could be in any one of a number of possible log files. Start with 'all messages' & then dig around - it really is a question of digging & trying to be sure that the same action is causing the message. There may be one from com.asus… or whatever their software bundle ID is.
The manual may help, but it appears to have very little OS X specific info.

You may have tried lots of these already, but how would we know?
Well I went through most of this with ASUS support guy for an hour. The dongle light does not light up when plugged in, it does not start up the ASUS software, it does not show in the networking menu after reinserting it in all of the usb ports, though everything else plugged in those ports including FitBit base
shows up.I have decided to return it and search for another Wireless Adapter that is more Mac friendly. My mac doesn't have an airport card so this is my cheapest alternative I think. Thanks for your help. If you know of a better USB Wireless Adapter for my system any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best regards.JP
If you have a Mac Pro, why do you need a wireless dongle. My Mac Pro works perfectly fine on wireless without one.
