How to burn multiple projects to a DVD-RW using FCP?

I often create a number of FCP projects from video clips taken on holiday. I then like to select which projects to burn to DVD but it seems that this function in FCP will only do the project that is currently loaded in the timeline.

It doesn't help to use RW DVD's because FCP recognises that there is already something on the DVD and erases it before loading the current project.

Any solutions or am I just missing something in the way FCP works?

Thanks

You can use a dedicated DVD application in order to get all the bells and whistles of dvd menus and such.

FCP X produces very basic dvd output, but you can still achieve what you want if you find the basic dvd interface sufficient.

Here is how to burn projects A, B, and C to a single DVD disc:

1) use export file to create movies A.mov, B.mov, C.mov

2) (optionally) create a new library and/or a new event for this one - let's call it "For DVD" - it is a good way to keep things organized

3) Import movies A.mov, B.mov, C.mov - choose "Leave in Place" because you don't need to create another copy of those - FCP X will just point to the movies you had already exported.

4) Create a new project, and drag these movies to the timeline.

5) Add a chapter marker at the beginning of each movie

6) Export to DVD
