Is iExplorer safe to download?

I lost all my music on iTunes when my PC crashed and I replaced with a Mac. When I brought up iTunes on the Mac most of my library is missing. I want to transfer my playlists/library from iPhone to Mac/iTunes. I am finding iExplorer is a solution. Has anyone used it and is it a safe download? Its logo makes you think its an apple product "iExplorer" but Apple does not have the download on its website or iTunes. Perplexed.

It's perfectly OK. It wouldn't be on the iTunes store since it isn't an iDevice app. It runs on the computer.

it is not an Apple Software and it is not really recommended to use. You could mess up with the iOS Software and cause your iPhone to be definitely out of use, since you have access to the system files. However, It is not possible, unless you use this kind of software, to get music from the iPhone to the Mac.
