Iphoto Manager is not legitimate is it?

I have 10.6.8 mac mini I also have iphoto 11. I am also dyslexic I think I have failed to fully comprehend the most advisable way to use iphoto maybe I have insdvertantly made duplicate copies of libraries. I have not done any thing in camera raw. In order to straighten things out I have tried to use iphoto manager which I am unable to trust. I have been told to update my licence at least three times and even when I have paid I am told that I am not intitled to use the shortcuts, I have come to the conclusion that this software is a hoax. It looks like others have used the a version of photo manager as well although the last comment on this issue was last posted in 2013. What does everyone know that I don't know I am so confused I do not know what to do. I've just read the instructions to clear Hacked software as much as I would like to erase Iphoto Manager I feel it could have whined itself around vital parts of my computer. I really thought that photo manager was an apple software. I do not see anyhing to clarify the purpose or positive outcome using iphoto manager. I would love to hear from old toad on this I really appreciated his help before.

IPLM is not a fraud, it is outstanding software and extremely useful - and for support you need to contact FatCat - iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -

The software we frequently are recommending is "iPhoto Library Manager". You are speaking about "Iphoto Manager".

I hope, you have not been using some software with a different name or downloaded it from some phishing site.

Like you've already been told iPLM is the most used and respected utility for iPhoto on the market. In my opinion it's a must have app if you're an iPhoto user.

Where did you you purchase it from? If it wasn't from this website, iPhoto Library Manager, you may have downloaded a hacked version of it. I've had iPLM for several years now and haven't been asked to purchase a new license for it. If for some reason you clean files from your Home library the license info file might have been removed and you would need to add the license number again in iPLM's iPhoto Library Manager ➙ Registration menu window.

You should contact iPLM the Help menu

Let them know where you purchased the app from and, if you have copies of any emails regarding the purchase and subsequent requests for additional licenses, offer to send copies of them to iPLM for their review and consideration.

iPLM released an update today which included this fix:

Fixed an issue where confirmation of a successful purchase would sometimes not be shown

Perhaps you got caught up in that bug. Download the new version and see if there's any improvement. If not be sure to contact the developer. He's very responsive to fixing user's issues.

Since I could not make Iphoto library manager I asked for my money back now I have all kinds of problems. I believe that a singular developer created IPLM he created it from from software from an open software source. I also believe that one should be able to acess photos without being told a licence needed to be renewed.Yes I have been told now that iplmis good software however my circumstance does not reflect any positive outcome. What I found is this app cannot bereversed and over complicates an already complicated problem. When one uses an app they are hoping for the kind of help that will clear up problems not duplicate, complicate and install chat icons in a photo library and creates invisible photo files. It is also very true that different situations create different problems some real data would be helpful here. I can't be the only person to find this app to be an albatross. Thanks for the replys my qustion has now changed I would like to know how to get all traces of Fat Cat software off my computer>

iPhoto Library Manager is recommended on his site many times every day and I've simply never seen anyone report back with what you say.

1. Yes it is made by a single developer.

2. It is not based on open-source software.

3. You can access photos without buying a licence. Buying a licence adds additional features. But it's not an app to "access photos" so I'm thinking you've not grasped what the app nor what it is for.

4. I have no idea what you mean by the app 'cannot be reversed'. But it also suggests to me that perhaps you've not grasped the app nor what it is for.

5. Similarly, your comment on 'over complicates and already complicated problem' makes me think the same.

6. iPhoto Library Manager does not install chat icons in a photo library. It does not create "invisible photo files".

7. To remove iPhoto Library Manager is simple. Drag it to the trash.

THose are not created by IPLM - they are user imports possibly accidentally dragging an application onto the iphoto window or the iphoto icon in the dock

I didn't say they weren't there, I said it wasn't done by iPhoto Library Manager.
