iTunes says I have photos on iPad. I don't.

When syncing my iPad 2 with iTunes, iTunes says I have 179 photos on my iPad 2. But I've deleted all my photos from the iPad, and on the photo tab for syncing, I don't check anything -- it don't sync any photos at all. I've tried restarting everything to get rid of the 179 mysterious photos. I've even restored the iPad, but no luck, iTunes insists I have 179 pictures. Where could they be?

I see that number in the long bar at the bottom of the iPad Summary in iTunes. It is a pick section of the bar, and when I hover my mouse over it, it says 179 photos. I want it to be 0 photos. I can't afford the space 179 photos takes.

Yes, I re-deleted all the photos in the recently-deleted folder, and I made sure I didn't even have any empty albums left. I look in all my photo apps and I have "No Photos or Videos". Yet the iTunes summary windows says I have 179 photos taking up 243.4 MB of space. I tried to clean it up by restoring the iPad, but then I restored from backup, so it could be something that came back in on my backup. I also used the software "DiskAid" to look at all the hidden files on the iPad, and I couldn't find anything with that program either.

Try this and see if it fixes it for you. Delete all of your Recently Deleted photos from the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app.

Then go to Settings>General>Date & Time, and change the date back to date prior to September. Then go back to the Recently Deleted album. Tap on the album again, even if it shows 0 photos. If the photos are in there, delete them again. Then go back and change the date to Automatic>On again.

Yes you did and you probably don't realize that I might have stopped typing my response to do something, and by the time I finally hit reply, you post was already showing.

I take great care not to post if somebody has already supplied the same information that I was going to provide. Sometimes these things can't be avoided.
