time capsule device not found

I have a recurring problem backup failed and device not found.

I have been on to apple told pull the plug on time capsule every time.

now i am told to go into network and take it of automatic and set it to 2.4 to channel 11 and the 5 to channel 44.

is this now limiting the time capsule to the 2 channels.

is this the best result for the time capsule or would i be better getting a non apple product.

The reason I blame Yosemite is all worked before Yosemite came out.

After I loaded Yosemite few days later my automatic backing failing so i spoke to Apple and they advised it was my hard drive so got Time Capsule.

then after a total of 105 days with all else working and Apple saying there techs are working on the known problem in time machine all my files surgests to me Yosemite. as well as apple did check ut all my hardware on my MacBook Pro that was fine and they say the time capsule is 100% ok so that only leaves software Yosemite.

The MacBook Pro has been put back to factory settings so it only leaves Yosemite as that was the only soft ware change when this started.
