Is there a female-to-female lightning cable joiner?

As was stated above, is there a female-to-female lightning cable joiner where you can plug in two lightning cables and essentially make one extended cable?

Thanks,

That wouldn't work. You would end up with a cable that had a USB connector on each end. In general it is not a good idea to use extension cables with iOS devices. Instead get a single cable of the right length. There's a limit to the cable length that will work. It's about 1 meter, or a little over 3 feet.

Both of you are correct about there generally being a USB end, I am simply trying to see if one exists. This also begs the question is there is a male to male lightning cable? I know that there are male to female cables and dock extenders. The application for all of this would be in instances such as the lightning/hdmi converter - unless you have a very long HDMI cable you are tied within a few inches of the TV or other device unless you can extend your lightening cable.
