MXF Import limited to 30 Seconds?

I have a high end Mac Pro, Yosemite all updates, and Final Cut Pro X all latest updates.

I can import MXF file from a Canon Camera now (yeah!), but it stops each clip at exactly 30 seconds of imported video and audio.

Initially, I was importing just the MXF files. I did read somewhere that you have leave all of the meta data files in place, in order to go past 30 seconds, so I tried that as well with no success.

Since I have tried various MXF converters / utilities over the years, it may be a third party test application that is causing this, but I am not sure.

Is anyone else having issues where imported MXF videos stop at exactly 30 seconds?
