Selecting multiple messages in Messages app

I need to delete 100 old SMS from Messages application, is there any way to select them all? (Shift + click doesn't work)

Yes, it's actually Shift, like I can select multiple emails in Mail app, or multiple files in Finder, or multiple photos in Aperture, but can't select multiple messages the very same way in Messages app.

Hi,

Clicking the First then holding the shift before clicking the second selects all those in between for me.

They include those Sent as well as those Received.

Is this the exact method you are using ?

Hi,

In System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Then Applications in the list on the left is there anything for Messages that has been set up with those same keys (As they don't appear in Any Messages Menu)
