I LOVE iWeb. Any profissional Graphic Designer that uses iWeb?

If by neurotic techie trends you mean web standards then I pity any business that uses anything you might produce.

I never said here I "cannot see" that iWeb is a very basic webdesign software. Yes it is. What I think is that is possible to create professional websites with iWeb, for small/medium business owners, with quality and without necessary follow the latest neurotic "techie trend". In my own opinion for the regular/NON-TECHIE visitor of a website, the majority of the techie trends don't need to urgent be applied, and to be honest, I think as everything 90% is pure trash. Making a website loading on a smartphone is important, but is not because of not being "responsive" someone will stop being interested on the content of website. Visit http://www.vignelli.com and all of this started discussion will make sense.

I never said that you said that you could not see it. But judging from your removed threads, you really are confused about things, and I am starting to believe by your childish 'I love iWeb' comments that you are only here to troll and that, in fact, you have no experience with Dreamweaver. The Mods will not lock this post, which will remain open. But if I were you, I would either start posting technical responses or just forget this thread you started.

Now Google is a 'robot' – it cannot read that text because it is an image.

Copy, paste that text & search for that entire quote in Google.com.

It is found on countless other websites but never found on his own site. I looked at 10 pages of Google results NOT ONE LINKED TO HIS OWN SITE.

This is why you should not use iWeb for paying customers.

Paying customers tend to get a bit sad when they find out their homepage is not found on Google despite searching for the exact text which should be in the search results.

This technique also breaks accessibility laws that are REQUIRED by many countries - the website is unusable to anyone who uses a screen reader.

I'm not trying to belittle you or ridicule your choices. Seriously I'm glad you found something you apparently love, but if you had any sense you would convert the iWeb designs into a site made in Dreamweaver. HTML5, CSS, web fonts & some skill can make that entire site appear in Google's results with no loss in the style by displaying text as actual text.

iWeb breaks web standards by turning text into images. I pointed this out in my second post to you & yet you still hold http://vignelli.com in high regard despite this flaw.

He was a fantastic designer but http://vignelli.com was made by someone with no clue about how the internet works, give it a few hours & this page will appear higher than his site in Google search results!

is made with Dreamweaver (just look at the source and admire the landfill) and according to the header, the page was last updated :

Yep I know. Dreamweaver outputs bad sites too. I thought it was odd that the OP linked it as a part of this thead.

DW seems to be the only other tool the OP uses besides Wordpress & Joomla.

iWeb has the same habit of spewing images out for text, which should cause alarm bells in any web professional. Barely existing in search engines is a practical way to fail in business.

Corier If you are not convinced now there seems little point continuing the discussion.

Notice how no one is saying it is a great idea. Not one professional has showed up to say good things about using iWeb.

And a wonderfull and helpful thread it is at that.
