Stickies and font lists

I can reproduce the problem you report using the Bradley Hand ITC TT Bold font, which is the version of Bradley Hand I have.

This appears to be a bug in Stickies.app. I suggest you submit a Mac OS X Feedback.

You could:

• Select the Lucida Grande text and change the font using Font > Show Fonts, then selecting Bradley Hand in the resulting Font Palette.

• Select all the text in the note (Command-A), copy it (Command-C), then paste it back over itself matching the style of the note by pressing Command-Option-Shift-V (or selecting Edit > Paste and Match Style). Any fonts not Bradley Hand — as specified for your default note — will become such.

As another workaround, instead of pressing Option-Tab to start a list, press:

• Return, to create a new line.
• Tab, to indent.
• Option-8 to create a bullet point (•) or Minus ➖ for a dash-style point.

Then type your text. This does not produce a list where long bullet points wrap to the start of the first line of the bullet point, but it is a way of creating an indented, bulleted list of items that will appear the same if the items in the list are brief and does not result in the font change anomaly.

As FYI, the Option-Tab approach to creating lists in Stickies.app is not a hidden feature: it's discussed in Stickies Help. In Stickies, select Help> Stickies Help. In the resulting Help Viewer window, select "See all Stickies topcis." In the resulting list, select "Creating a list in a sticky note."
