Why won't my inbox load emails anymore? Trash are coming through though. Have deleted and reinstalled twice. Got rid of lots of emails yesterday in a clear up, now can't get any!!

I Have a very similar problem. I use Yahoo Mail via the Mail app on my iPhone 6 (not 6+). My emails would only load thru "Wednesday" so I looked online for possible fixes. I close my apps after I use them. I've turned my phone on/off twice, once leaving it powered off for over an hour. I've deleted and then added my email account at least twice (all emails before "Wednesday" are now gone, so that my email box says "No Mail"). I have the most recent iOS update completed. In addition, I have also verified that my email account is active and working by logging on via my laptop (emails have been received today). Please help!

We have had a few reports of Yahoo not working well with the Apple Mail app

Here the options for you to consider:

Try to retrieve mail after each to see if the problem is resolved

1. Shut off all the apps using the app switcher

2. Then Reset the phone - no data loss - Hold down Sleep button and home button until the Apple logo appears and allow normal boot up

3. You have already reinstalled the mail account - so that is done

4. Download the Yahoo Mail app and access mail through that
