Odd motion blur when iPhone 6 is cold.

Hey so I have noticed this happening since I got my new iPhone 6. I live in buffalo and below 5 degree days arnt uncommon. I also dont have an auto car starter. I noticed That when my iPhone is in my cold car with me It seems to have what I can only call a noticeable motion blur. I never noticed this with my 5 and my brother said he didn't notice it with his 6. As my phone gets warmer this goes away. My brother got me nervous tho saying that I should take to Apple. I logically just assumed the crystals in the screen were cold and this was a non issue I shouldn't worry about. Any advice?

If it's 5º outside, you're well outside of the rated operating temperature of the phone. It's a 'liquid' crystal display. Your assumption was correct. What you're seeing is to be expected. You could also damage the display using it when it's that cold. Deep it in your pocket where it's warm.

Oh ok thanks. So would I already know if permanent damage was done? Also would you saying using it in the cold is the problem and not just the phone being cold? For example if I just don't use it at all but it stays powered on while I am in cold weather or before my car warms up would that be safe?
