Mini Tool Partition

Hi,

I've created a windows 7 bootcamp partition on my macbook pro a few weeks ago to run Autocad and Revit and decided to increase it today. Everything went smoothly.

1. I decreased my osx 10.10.1 partition size through Disk Utility.

2. I then used mini tool partition to fill up the extra space i had made available. Increased windows partition from 50Gigabyte to 100Gigabyte

Since i did this on the windows 7 side is all looks great. showing i have around 400 Gigabyte on the osx drive and around a 100 on the windows drive.

On the other hand, the Mac partition, I use to have Windows 7 logo on my desktop which is no longer and when i look at the drives, its still shows the extra 50 Gigabytes I've freed through Disk Utility as free space and shows my windows partition as having 50 Gigabytes.

I know this is not much of an issue, and wont probably my experience in anyways, but my ocd sort of hates it,

Thanks a lot for your help and time

No tools should be used to resize/partition Windows, once installed. If you reboot, your Windows installation will get corrupted, because your MBR and GPT are now out-of-sync.

Can I resize the Windows partition after installing Windows?

No. Back up your important files, then use Boot Camp Assistant to delete the old partition and create a new one.

Thanks for the info, I should of done more research before proceeding to resizing partition, I found out about mini tool partition on here, in communities support, so I thought it would be trustworthy.

What would be the right procedure for me to follow now.

would deleting windows partition through disk utility and restarting windows install through bootcamp work?

i dont mind loosing all files on the windows partition, all my work gets transferred to Autocad 360 (cloud drive).

thanks for your help

I apologize my question wasn't clear enough. What I wanted to know is, are there any chances my Mac partition could get corrupted, I do care about this partition, even though back ups are done everyday, whenever I am on my home wifi through time capsule.

thanks a lot for your time, will let you know of the outcome when I re install the windows partition.
