MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
I have the Sade's headset and I can not get the mic to work. I can hear through the headset by I think the mic on the computer is the only mic that will work. I can not use the mute button. I have gone into settings and am very frustrated that I can not get this headset to work the way it is intended. Please anyone help. It's a USB headset.
ah, then that means the headset was built for older computers with 2 ports.
You could try an adapter, this looks like a good one.
it depends on the type of headset.
I have one that connects to the computer via USB, which will work no matter your computer type.
If you have one that connects to the normal headphone port, like for earbuds, then it does depend on your mac.
To check if a headphone-port using headset will work, just look at the side of your computer, and if there are 2 different headphone ports looking about the same, then the mic won't work.
If there's only one, you're fine.
There are both BlueTooth and USB headsets that will work.
