iPhone dropping internet connection after iOS 8.1.3 update?

after updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.1.3 it worked fine for a few hours, then when I went to watch YouTube it wouldn't load so I went to safari to see if it was just YouTube but safari couldn't load any webpages either, so I just turned my phone off and back on and it was working again. It's been doing this everyday since the update, and it's never done this before. It's not dropping the connection to wifi. Is anyone else having this issue and how did you solve it?

I have the same problem. With the system upgrade, it is getting worse. It drops connection no matter with wifi or cellular. You have to reset the network or reboot your system. I went to the store and swapped 4 iphone 6, with many times re-installations, nothing improved. It must be a software issue. I cannot believe all 5 iphone 6 are bad. Or, there is a hardware design problem. Who knows, apple will not admit it issue. They keep saying it is 3rd party app or carrier caused the crash. I bought all apps through Apple. They also said that they had sold millions of iphone, there are only few thousands complains. It is not big deal. Please, do not be a Bad Apple!!! It is so inconvenient for me. I even have to reboot it while i was driving. 😠

Hi Odysseus, I cannot agree. It shows that LTE is connected. Also, it happens while WIFI is connected. Apply has my recorder. They said the internet connection was crashed by some unknown reasons. TO be clear, WIFI or LTE is fine while suddenly lost connection to the internet. I can make call or text. Just cannot get on internet. My SIM card had been changed twice. Believe me, i had swapped 4 times, and using 5 iphone 6. All have the same problem. And getting worse. I checked with my son, he has the same problem. It happens to my wife's iphone 5, but not very often. I just make another appointment this afternoon in another apply store, to see if the genius has other option. I am tired to swap phone or reboot phone every day.😢

I have finally identified the bug in my case. Recap.. my internet connectivity problem was on both wifi & cellular, correctable by rebooting, was specific to my iPhone 6, was not related to my router, was not resolved by replacing iPhone 6, and most recently, continued even with iOS 8.2 update. But I've identified and replicated the issue at last! The source of the bug in my case is an old Apps Gone Bananas Secure Gmail app (not to be confused with the currently available Secure Webmail app by Apps Gone Bananas; mine is an obsolete app no longer available through the app store). All internet connectivity was disabled when a new email was pushed through Secure Gmail when the phone was in sleep mode for a significant length of time (i.e., over night). I've since deleted the app, hopefully this is the only bug in my case and my problem will be resolved. For those of you still struggling with this problem, you may want to try my approach and begin testing for apps that cause a conflict, especially if you have some old apps that you've been carrying along for several years like I did. I am having same issue since previous update can surf for a bit then ipad gets stuck opening pages. I have even reset my whole ipad and it's okay for a short time them the same issue arrises. I thought for awhile the latest update was a fix but no same thing. Man very frustrating. I have been trying to get hold of someone with apple support but thus far I have not gotten anywhere. I used to love my ipad but right now I am not really feeling any love. The wifi connection itself seems to be fine. It makes no sense....
