For an iPod 8 touch, how can I change an incorrect iCloud ID? It has one missing letter. My apple ID is correct. Since the iCloud email is an incorrect one I cannot put in a password to verify it. So how do I correct the wrong iCloud ID?

Yes, this was a typo by my daughter-in-law, who was trying to help me set up the iPod. The iCloud ID on my iPod is already filled in, in the little box, for me to enter a password in the box below it. It won't let me type in the correct address. How do I just start again with the correct ID?
As you can see from the above photo, there is no way to click on the ID to change it. It is not clickable. Doesn't matter if I choose OK or Cancel, the same thing will pop right back up.
That isn't the iCloud sign up screen. That suggests that someone has already signed in using that address but now can't remember the password, but from what I understand I don't see how that could happen unless the address has been verified, which again I don't see how it can of been verified if it doesn't exist.
Well, we can't assume that the address does not exist, just that it is not mine. What if someone at that address verified it? That is the only way it could have been verified, right? It will not accept the only password that we ever had. No clue how to fix this!

If someone else verified it, you still needed to enter the password to log in on your device.
Also, just to mention, the apple ID is correct, and has been verified
So exactly what is and what isn't correct.
You are signed into iCloud in settings so across the phone when using other iCloud services it will prompt for the password.
You need to go to Settings > iCloud and log out and log back in to change the username (to the correct one that @Winston advised you to set up)

If you are saying you misspelt your email address when creating your Apple ID, just start again with the correct address.
If the typo was made creating an ID, just create another ID with the correct address. If you are saying you've tried to sign in with the wrong address, then just tap on the address to edit it.
Also, just to mention, the apple ID is correct, and has been verified, and I was able to correct the iMessages and iFacetime Apple IDs, so why can't I fix this one?
