Yahoo Messenger is NOT supported on OS X 10.10 or above check out the link below

You know you can configure your Yahoo account in the Messages application, and just use that?

However it only uses Yahoo IDs (and not the options that the Yahoo did)

It also only Text Chats (No File Sending, Video or Audio Only chats)

EDIT.
If you had had it before you Upgraded you will have seen this.
