Console error message "Failed to Connect..."

Noticed this output from Console over the last few days:

Failed to Connect (_consoleX) outlet from (NSApplication) to (ConsoleX): missing setter or instance variable

It's time stamp indicates that it's the first operation on opening the Console so it not a back ground process but don't understand what it's failed to do - anyone any ideas apart from the NSA.......
