On Windows it was BitComet, perfect thing and all others was just slow.

I don't think there's anything implicitly wrong with discussing software recommendations unless:

1) The OP was asking where to get an illegal copy of like Photoshop or something

or

2) The OP included in his request something along the lines of "so I can download illegal copies of software, music etc. etc.

There are plenty of legitimate uses for torrent clients or P2P apps.

I use Transmission, myself.

Absolutely. There's nothing illegal about Torrent programs. Now I'm not saying they can't be used for illegal purposes but there's many legal uses as well. I get many Podcasts that way. It alleviates the bandwidth cost to the producers of said Podcast.

Anyway. I use Tomato too. It's simple and that's all I need. You might check this page at VersionTracker which list some of the Torrent programs available.

Like another post said, Azureus is a great bittorrent tool and it is also universal binary (Intel).

Some people don't know what they are talking about. It is perfectly legal to use bittorrent to download legal music. It is not the software but rather what some bad apples (no pun intended) may do with it that unfortunately gives a bad rap to the rest of us who aren't breaking any laws.

I download lots of live music from bt.etree.org from bands that support the legal download of audience taped music like Gov't Mule, Derek Trucks Band, Phil Lesh and Friends, Grateful Dead, just to name a few. I have downloaded gigabytes of some of the the best live music from some of the best bands (showing my age here) using bittorrent.

Enjoy and yes it is perfectly legal.

Wow.... you completely misunderstand my post.
Read through the thread again, my friend. I haven't even replied to the post with an answer at all. Since I've provided no answer for the OP, I don't deserve points.
I'd rather see the users who do deserve points (such as yourself in this case) get them, as there were several people in this thread that helped the OP.

Not once in my nearly three years of posting here have I ever asked or insisted that anyone award me points. Feel free to review my posting history in its entirety if you'd like to see for yourself.
