my iPhone 6 is up to date its on IOS 8.1,3 and it keeps randomly shutting off with plenty of battery left like 30 or 40% and it will just turn off. I restarted it and backed it up and it continues to happen i don't know what to do.

Try to set it back to factory settings, without using the latest backup, in case the backup contained corrupt data.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If the problem comes back, your device needs to be checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple:
