Logic MIDI first note not sounding

Hello,

If I am using a software instrument and don't press anything for about 25 seconds, then the next key I press won't make any sound, even if I'm using the Musical Typing Keyboard. It will register in the toolbar that MIDI info is coming in but nothing will sound until the next key I press. This happens with every software instrument and with an external MIDI keyboard as well as the Musical Typing Keyboard. If anyone knows what I should do to fix this, please respond. This is very unhelpful for live playing and the sooner it is resolved the better. (I don't know when this started happening, perhaps after the last Logic update?)

Thanks,

Jake

Unfortunately for what you doing in live performance.... this is the way Logic works.

Short explanation:

When Logic is stopped and no data is passing through a "Live" track Logic deactivates all active buffers... that means you have empty audio buffers to fill when you press a key, the first key press fills the buffers the second note sounds. Logic has been like thins for as long as I can remember. Since Version 4 I believe. There may be other factors involved that make this more or less noticeable. If the sequencer is running you can record a few slight mod wheel movements onto the track, or a note with a velocity of 1, this is seen as data and the VI track will stay live and there will be no delay.
