Hide Shapes / Delete Shapes Pages '09

Hello,

Using Pages '09

Any one know of a way to Hide a set of shapes globally for all sections in a Pages Document?

Or perhaps a way of automating?

I have some 48 page catalogues I need to resize and am using a Group of shapes to mark out the Trim, safe and margins.

I would use the guides but I would need to rebuild 12 x 48pages = 576 Guides to reposition per Catalogue on average.

Anyone know of a way to quickly link all the shapes to quickly delete them or hide them after I have finished layout ready for export?

Kinda cool.

I have to figure how to set it up so all the pages automatically populate with the master object per side as in your screen shot.

Does this work only on new sections inserted or will blank pages get populated also?

Never did this before with Pages '09.

I am quite impressed with how it intelligently gets the correct First Page / Master Pages exactly where they should be:

You capture the first 3 pages (one of each instance) of the Section to achieve what I showed.

When you insert a new Section you get the following:

First Page, following left page, following right page.

Each new page in the section gets an additional left or right page as shown above.

Insert a new Section and it starts all over again.

None of this is retrospective by the way. Once placed in the docment, the layout is what it is. To change it you will have to start all over again, with the proviso that you can alter the Master Objects in situ. You can't however use live layout elements as Master Objects because they always repeat over a section. This is not like Indesign or Quark XPress (which has always had the best Master Pages IMHO).

hmmm,

So if I were to change the Green Triangle, ALL the Green Triangles would change in the entire document?

Star, and in each Section.

Master Objects apply to a Section, but you can get them to follow on in the next section.
