I am unable to log into FaceTime, and area where I can turn it on or off to reset is not there

i have just updated to IOS 8 and FaceTime is not responding to my apple id log in.

To make sure we are on the same page, you cannot login to FaceTime on your iPad. If that is the case, take a look at the first article below to give you some troubleshooting options to get it working again. If it is not, try the second article for some additional troubleshooting.
