OK, That is a statement, not an explanation.

So, in your opinion its no good, but you do not point me in the direction of alternatives ?

Also, yes you provide a link.

However the responses in that link, are somewhat over my head.

I am not a Developer or Programmer, merely a User.

In as much as,.......

IF I deposit 50 cents, and push some numbers, I can make a local call, without needing to be a Telephone Engineer .

So, if MacKeeper is bad ?? What alternatives are there, out there, free or otherwise, that are good ???

Thanks In Advance

Any review site that makes such a claim is a fake site, most likely one that is either secretly owned by ZeoBIT/Kromtech or that is being paid by them to rate MacKeeper highly. ZeoBIT has been known to set up fake review sites in the past.

For details on why you should avoid MacKeeper, see:

Ongoing MacKeeper fraud

As for what to use instead of MacKeeper, note that most of MacKeeper's features are actually worthless time-wasters. If it's the anti-virus software you're looking for, see my Mac Malware Guide for information on protecting yourself against malware the right way.

(Fair disclosure: I may receive compensation from links to my sites, TheSafeMac.com and AdwareMedic.com.)

MacKeeper is a hot subject, you either love it or hate it.

You may find some statements here, at this forum.
To put it without emotions, MacKeeper is a bundle. If you are a Mac novice, a grand beginner, that could simplify your life a bit. So, you'll have one click instead of two.
Yet, most of those features already exist by default on your Mac, minus few. It's just that they come under one GUI with a sleek interface.

Being a "bundle" does not make it any less a scam. That makes no sense. Further, there's really no emotion involved in describing exactly how unethical the company behind MacKeeper is or exactly how useless it is... these are statements supported by fact. Unfortunately, they're facts that novice users often don't understand or don't accept, which is why ZeoBIT/Kromtech is still able to continue swindling people.
