I updated iCloud several months ago and received the error
message
the procedure entry point _block_object_assign could not be
located in the dynamic link library CoreFoundation.dll
Couldn't get rid of it or find an answer so gave up on the
update and restored the computer - running windows 7 - to an earlir time.
Have today once again sought to update iCloud and have
received the same pop-up error message.
Ideas anyone?
Yes here is a detailed fix that I posted on your other thread: ubd.exe - Entry point not found error
Step 1) Run CMD as Administrator and type: sfc /scannow (this will check your important windows files and replace them if needed)
Step 2) Use a proper Uninstaller (I use Iobit 4.2) and uninstall all Apple products (itunes, icloud, Apple support 32 & 64bit, Apple Software update, etc)
Step 3) Download CCleaner & run the Registry scan ( MAKE SURE TO SAVE when you click FIX - I run it twice)
Step 4) Restart your computer
Should be fixed
Install refresh download of itunes
I have found these annoying “pop-ups” can be suppressed by disabling ubd.exe in Task
Manager with no meaningful affect otherwise.
In Windows 10 right click on the Start Button and open Task Manager. In Task Manager click the Start-up tab and
then highlight ubd.exe and disable it. Restart the computer and the pop-ups will hopefully be gone.
