Bootcamp No WiFi under Windows 10

I just installed Win 10 with bootcamp. No problem. Everything works fine. Except I can not see my WiFi network under Windows. Any idea. It looks like Windows does not recognize my Network Mac Card.

Thank you

Hey guys for those of you who still have a problem with the wifi ...this is what i did to get it working

(Solution 1)

Go to device manager....

Under network adapters

Right click Broadcom Netxtreme Gigabit Eithernet and uninstall it.

Then at the menue bar click search for hardware changes It should come back.

(Solution 2 ) worked for me!

Under other devices

Right click Network Controler and Click update driver.

Hit browse my computer for driver soft.

Let me pick from a list of dev...

Scroll down to Netword adapters

Under Manufacture... Scroll down to Broadcom.

And under Model install Broadcom 802.11n network adapter (Broadcom)

Hope it works for you :)

Windows 10 isn't even in public beta at this point. It's a "technology preview". Apple doesn't support Windows 10 in boot camp at this point.

The Windows 10 preview doesn't work with a lot of stuff at the moment.

If you really want to play with it, install it in VirtualBox or VMWare Fusion or something. At least the networking functions will work that way. Setting custom screen resolutions is still difficult if not impossible as it doesn't work with the display drivers in most virtualization packages that provide custom scaling, etc.

After i scan for hardware change in the device manager the error pop up and said my driver could not be install (code 28).

please let me know if there is other solution.

Note:

I upgrade my window from 8.1 to win 10

I also have scaling problem, which make all my icon become small.

This sounds really really stupid, perhaps I didn't even have this problem but I tried everything on the forums (uninstalling the network adapter, downloading new drivers from the support, hibernation/sleep, various coding)...but I clicked "multilingual Canadian english"(we spell things differently from time to time).... After 6 hours of research that is pretty darn stupid. Little did I know I should have simply stuck with the american keyboard... #makeamericagreatagain 😉

Guys, Deleting and reinstalling broadcom isn't going to do a single thing unless you have a very specific type of mac. The newer macs require the "Windows" or "Apple support software" and that's what installs the drivers for these specific things. To get this go to bootcamp with you wininstall disk and uncheck everything accept install Windows support software and let it do that. Now take the drive out and start back into windows. Hit command E and look for you drive. Now go to bootcamp and run the setup file. This will install everything you need and then will restart. This will help you get where you need to go. Now if you've got that installed and still nothing works then do as they're saying below. Also if wifi seems to be slower here than on your native OS then go to devices manager and go to update the broadcom driver and navigate in that to your wininstall disk > bootcamp > Drivers > Broadcom and install the correct one.

I am having this same exact issue. I have filed a bug report with apple on this.

With the Bootcamp support software installed on a Mac book Pro 2016 15" Fully built out (2 TB ssd, 16 GB, i7 2.9 turbo to 3.8)

After bootcamp is loaded and the latest windows 10 build is installed, wifi goes in and out. Or wont connect at all.

Multiple other devices can connect. But somehow with windows 10 64 bit installed, it will not work properly.

I already tried multiple fixes, including deleting the driver then reinstalling it several times. This seems more Software driver related than Hardware related. Searching for the Broadcom driver package using the PCI/VEN hardware ID results in nothing. Trying to goto Broadcoms website they only have linux drivers available for download.

I am using the latest OSX sierra, with all of the updates, and the latest version of Bootcamp. I have also installed that latest Bootcamp support tools. What more can i do?

Why is this problem being ignored?

The Netxtreme Ethernet (wired) and 802.11n(wireless) are two different adapters. Unless you re-install both drivers, your WiFi will not work. In some cases, on newer tbMBPs, disabling 802.11n/ac bands may also solve the problem, depending on your specific Wireless network configuration.

At first, frankly I have thought “That’s stupid comment!, why does the monitor connection affect the network driver problem!”. However there was no solution I could come up with more. In addition, in Japanese apple community site, other guy said that a certain USB-C port (the guy said one port of two USB-C, back on left side) of MacBookPro affects wi-fi connection with its electrical noise because USB-C and wifi antenna are very closely located in-side structure; they mutually electrically interfere).

I am totally not sure about the true reason. But just to cope with this trouble, I believe it worth to try it. By the way, when I connect the external monitor, I use the USB-C port on right side (using USB-C > D-sub adapter).
