iPad displays only static
My iPad display has turned to static. Almost the entire screen is filled with gray static (except for a 1-inch wide horizontal white bar about 1 inch from the bottom of the screen). Sometimes there are colored lines in the white bar. There are also a few thin horizontal bars where the static is moving; otherwise, the static is still.
I'm not sure why it's doing this. I didn't drop it or get it wet. This happened a couple weeks ago, but then it went away when I plugged my iPad into my computer. Today, it's not going away. I've tried holding the sleep/wake and home button to restart the iPad. When I do this, the screen goes black for a few seconds, but then the gray static returns. The Apple logo does not appear. I tried restoring the iPad from iTunes with the iPad connected to my computer, but this isn't possible, since iTunes says I have to disable "Find my iPad," which isn't possible since the iPad isn't responsive. I also can't sync my iPad using iTunes, since it says I need to enter my code (also not possible right now).
This is a 3rd generation iPad from early 2012, wi-fi + cellular, 32 GB running iOS 8.1.3.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
