- This unit is an iPad 3.
- Serial number: DL******J8R
- When turned on, all I can see is a picture of mine in the background. I no longer see my desktop applications. This happened overnight. As of yesterday it was working very well. All updates for the unit and programs have been made as of last week.

I understand that when you wake up or turn on your iPad you do not see your applications that should on your iPad; all you see is your desktop picture. As you suggest in your question, I would also recommend resetting your iPad. To perform a reset, please follow the instructions located in the attached article.

Sorry for the delay replying to you.
I tried what you recommanded but It did not worked. When holding down the said button, nothing happened and I cannot get to the ‘Slide to turn off power’ s screen.
