Spontaneous reboots and shows a pink apple, then crashes again...

My system suddenly crashes and then reboots with a pinkish apple and struggles to load up, then crashes and tries to load again. I used the holding down 'D' option to boot it and it booted, but won't restart...

Thanks a lot, got it to start using the holding down 'D' thing, and then I rebooted and it seems to be ok now
