Can iTunes recognize when a song is included in multiple genres, and include it in each of those genres separately, rather than listing them all as one string? Perhaps there is a special separator character to use between each one that iTunes will recognize?
The same question applies to artists and composers.
There is no special separator value for iTunes. Taking ed's example you get an additional genre of Rock; Pop andthe songs would only be in that genre. You can use smart playlists to, for example, list all songs whose genre contains "Rock", but sadly iTunes doesn't support lists in fields in the way that you mean.

Clyde, iTunes treats the contents of the Genre (or Artist, or Composer) field as a string of text. For example, you can enter the Genre as "Rock; Pop" and it will show up when you search on "Rock" or "Pop" (or "ock" or po").
