An app auto calling a premium rate number from my phone, can i block certain numbers so they cant be called?

Just had my phone bill and there was £50 charge for a premium rate call, I didnt remember calling any. So looked into and it appears to come from an app, which auto generates a call to a premium rate number - 09136660109 in this case. It was an 18min call for me costing £50. My kids have a lot of game apps so must be one of them (as I dont have any), I have no way of finding out what app it was, and if it can do it again so I wanted to stop calls going out to all premium rate numbers. Can I?

on thinking about it a bit that method i suggested wont work - it would work to block that number from calling you - not from you calling that number - i dont believe there is a way to block outgoing calls on the iPhone

what you could do is put a passcode on the phone but that would stop your kids from using the phone at all

i dont know if your carrier might be able to do something

Thanks Mark. Yer I thought the same on the blocking, but it seems it is only incoming calls.
I'll try EE (my provider) and see if they can block all premium rate, or 09 calls or something.

i believe you can only block incoming calls and contacts - what might work is creating a contact for that number and then blocking it- i dont think you can block outgoing call numbers
