Very slow loading on apple TV with high speed internet ?

Big difference between playing a trailer and a full length movie. Speed is one factor, did you check the other things? Again, other devices working is not necessarily indicative of a solid network.

How long have you had the router? I would suggest changing channels on the router. Also make sure it is up to date. Have you tried Ethernet?

How do you "take it to another network"???

It would be best to take the Apple TV in as suggested by support.

I agree, I was only suggesting that to verify if it persisted on their network. That ISP is notorious for throttling traffic.

It is only relative to the device and as long as it's connected to the network it will show as successful. It will not account for issues within the network like interference.

I Got myself a new Apple TV and now everything works perfectly with Netflix. Huge difference.

i have not tried to rent a movie yet, but I will report the results.

Just an update on this. I rented a movie and it started immediately. There is a distinct difference in performance with my new AppleTV compared to the other version.

Internet speed is only one factor. DNS needs to be set to auto, if on wifi try Ethernet, get a diagnostics report (istumbler, netstumbler or similar), test on another network.

I had the same issue and after reading OUmd post, I realized that I had recently moved my Apple TV beside my cable box. I moved my Apple TV away from my cable box and everything is fixed.

Has there been a solution to this? This is my exact situation. My ATV3 works fine. Netflix on ATV4 is fine. But cannot plat iTunes movies. It buffers forever.

A Hard reset did the trick for me. Hold menu and down for six seconds. That worked as opposed to a soft reset from the settings menu which did not work. Good luck!

This worked for me perfectly, Tried it in the middle of watching a movie that was stuck loading for an hour. The Apple TV rebooted and played perfectly from then on.
