Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

The new Photos doesn't have Events. I have all my 26,000 photos organized by Events. What now - besides my freaking out and going back and organizing into albums (which Apple Support recommended)????

Apple Support told me to move things into albums, seriously?! I almost started crying. What now?

If you've activated the iCloud Photo Library (beta) in the Settings/iCloud/Photos preference pane on your iPhone disengage it to get back your Camera Roll and My Photo Stream features.

Ok, so Events is no longer there in Photos, right? Events is basically organized by date, right? So if Photos organizes photos by date then it is essentially the same, right?. I think that the monthly photo stream was not a very logical way to organize photos. Im still trying to figure out what I gain and what I loose when I upgrade to Photos. I don't plan to do that until it is out of Beta. But I still want to understand what will happen to the 15,000 photos on my computer when I do. It's all very confusing. I have heard that if I upgrade to iCloud photo library(beta) some things change that can't be changed back and have to wait until Photos comes out to be completely functional. True or false?
