I am trying to select multiple photos in iCloud without having to click on each photo individually. Is there a way to do so?

If you need to select multiple items on iCloud.com then you can use the common procedure to select multiple items by either holding Command or Shift on your keyboard.
To select multiple files or folders, hold down the Command (⌘) key, then click the items.
To select multiple files or folders that are listed together, click the first item you want to select, hold down the Shift key, then click the last item.

yes, you can use alt to select 150 photos by holding down alt and clicking 150 times. Issue is to be able to click on first and last, i.e. using the shift key, as with almost every other software/platform for windows. I hope that is clear.
You can download each "moment" with one click. Choose the "select moment" on the right and then download.
It will still download each image individually, but with just the one click.
That doesn't works now, maybe some deploy broke it...
Now hold the command key, but you have to click each photo.
Still unable either to use shift key to select an interval of photos or to select all when using web browser. It is just stupid...
They are just trying to make your life difficult if you want to get rid of the bloody useless, or costy, icloud.
Press control shift at the same time and select all the photos you want to download at the same time and download- There you go!

Assuming you are viewing your iCloud photo library from a computer, I found you can select multiple photos at once by holding Control/Command + Shift

If you are on a PC using iCloud.com to view the photos, holding down the ALT key and clicking on the pictures will allow you to select your photos.
select multiple photos holding "ALT" key. just now it worked for me.
Use the ALT key And you have to select each individually. I don't know why Apple has to break everything that isn't broke
