I have a MacBook Pro 15. If I leave the MagSafe charger plugged in, will I damage it?

I bought the MagSafe charger when I bought my MacBook Pro 15 Retina. I just want to know the following: If I leave the charger plugged into a wall socket, without charging the computer, will that damage the MagSafe?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
