Ok... I know I can't track an offline device.... however, i'm getting nervous about keeping the data on my stolen iPad Mini, but i can't sit on the internet all day every day waiting for it to be turned back on!! Would I be able to track it with "Find my friends" as long as the device is associated with my iCloud account???
Any insight would be helpful! 🙂

You can't track it with find my friends any more then you can track it find my phone if it is off line. If you're worried about the info I believe if you put in the erase command it gets delievered when and if comes online. If it doesn't come online the passcode is doing it's job.
Yes, I am aware of those facts......i guess the way i should be asking the question is.... when it DOES come online, can Find my Friends still locate it if I erase it? The person that stole the device knows my lock code, but hasn't turned it on yet, eventually they will.
I don't believe find your friends will be able to track you iPad once eraced.
